Getting Started

Welcome to Besely — a modern, fully customizable Shopify theme built for fast-growing ecommerce brands. This guide walks you through installing the theme, understanding the Theme Editor, and getting your store ready to launch.

1. Installing the theme #

  • Log in to your Shopify Admin.
  • Go to Online Store → Themes.
  • Click Add theme → Upload theme, then choose the Besely .zip file.
  • Once uploaded, click Actions → Publish to make it your store’s live theme, or Actions → Preview to review it first.

2. The Theme Editor #

Open the editor by clicking Customize next to the theme. You’ll see:

  • Left panel — the list of sections and blocks on the current page/template.
  • Center panel — a live preview of your store as customers will see it.
  • Right-hand settings — appear when you select a section or block, letting you edit text, images, colors, and layout options.

3. Sections and blocks #

Every page in Besely is built from sections (e.g. Slideshow, Featured Collection, Testimonials), and most sections contain blocks (e.g. Title, Text, Image, Column) that define the content inside them.

  • Use Add section at the bottom of the left panel to add new sections to a page.
  • Use Add block inside a section to add or reorder its content blocks.
  • Drag and drop to reorder sections and blocks, or use the up/down arrows.

4. Theme settings (global) #

Click Theme settings at the bottom of the left panel to configure store-wide defaults that apply everywhere, including:

  • Colors — define your color schemes.
  • Typography — set fonts and sizes for headings, body text, and buttons.
  • Logo — upload your logo and favicon.
  • Layout — set page width and section spacing.
  • Social media — add your social profile links.
  • Cart, Search, Product, Badges, Animations — fine-tune store-wide behavior.

See the General Settings category in this documentation for a full breakdown of each setting.

5. Setting up navigation #

Menus shown in the Header and Footer are managed under Online Store → Navigation in Shopify admin, then selected from the corresponding Main menu / footer menu setting inside the Header and Footer sections.

6. Homepage setup #

The homepage is built from the sections listed under Templates → Home page in the editor. A typical homepage combines a Slideshow or Hero image, Featured collection, Image with text, Testimonials, and Newsletter section — add, remove, or reorder these to match your brand.

7. Where to go next #

Browse the Sections, Blocks, Header, Footer, Product, Cart, Collections, Pages, and Popups categories in this documentation for a detailed explanation of every setting available in Besely.
