Layout

The Layout setting determines the maximum container width of your store on desktop, laptop, and ultra-wide monitors.

For sneaker, streetwear, and athletic footwear brands, layout width plays a vital role: a well-proportioned container allows multi-angle shoe photography, product comparison cards, and release banners to display with modern breathing room without looking cramped or excessively stretched.

How to Access Layout Settings #

  1. From your Shopify Admin, navigate to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Click Customize on the Sneax theme.
  3. Click the Theme settings (⚙️ gear icon) in the left sidebar.
  4. Select the Layout tab.

Detailed Setting Breakdown #

Page Width (1200px to 2400px) #

  • Ultra-Wide Screens (2K / 4K Displays): By default, Sneax sets a spacious 2000px container width. This gives modern footwear stores an expansive, premium look where 4 to 5 sneaker product cards can comfortably align side-by-side.
  • Compact / Focused Editorial View: If you prefer a tighter, centered catalog layout, you can scale the slider down toward 1400px – 1600px.
  • Automatic Mobile Responsiveness: On mobile devices and tablets, the page width setting gracefully yields to screen boundaries with built-in responsive padding (50px on desktop, 30px on tablets, and 15px on mobile phones) so content never touches the screen edges uncomfortably.

Pro Tips for Sneax Footwear Stores #

  • Wide Grids for Sneaker Catalogs: If your footwear catalog features many colorways and silhouettes, keeping your Page width between 1800px and 2200px allows customers to browse more shoes per row, reducing excessive scrolling on desktop.
  • Full-Width vs. Page-Width Sections: Many sections in Sneax (such as Hero Banners, Video sections, and Marquee tickers) allow you to choose between Full width and Page width. Use Full width for immersive, edge-to-edge sneaker campaign photography and Page width for text-heavy content and product cards to maintain readability.
